Super friendly staff and great coffee. All bakery items made in house. Vegan banana bread is a favorite.
I love Kookaburra Coffee so much! The flavor and strength of their espresso really gets me going! I just love their aussie pies for a nice bite to eat. It's a tough decision between the Sweet Potato & Feta or the Veggie Coconut Curry pie when those are available, but there are many more to choose from! I enjoy the side of local datil pepper sauce offered with the pie so much I always ask for two! A slice of their Vegan Banana Nut Bread or a Vegan Pumpkin donut is a wonderful treat for my tastebuds. A good day for me truly starts at the Kookaburra. I like to share this place with friends who have never been. My day seems brighter with a 12oz or 16oz iced Honey Badger in hand! Update 5/30/2023: I stopped in to this fav coffee shop of mine about 30 mins before closing. I was in the mood for a Hot Aussie, my current favorite coffee drink of theirs. When I also ordered a Veggie Coconut Curry Aussie pie from the few they had left from the day, I was informed it was half off its usual price! Yes! I never knew that after 4pm each day their scones, muffins, donuts and pies are 50% off. Wow! I am floored. I will certainly keep this in mind! I just adore their Vegan Banana Nut Bread and Vegan Pumpkin Donuts made in house every day! Unofficial Kook hack. You're welcome!! Thanks Kookaburra. You rock the house in my eyes!
They have the best water station in the world. Eating a chicken pot pie for breakfast never felt so good. I came to Kookaburra and I had water and chicken pot pie. Are the stickers free? My friend took one.
Family stopped by for coffee while we were in town. Stopped in and it was nice to see a coffee roaster in the building. Store was laid out nice and had some fresh roasted coffee for sale. I have a vanilla latte and it was smooth and creamy. Wasn't very strong in flavor, bitterness or sweetness. Was very smooth simple and wonderful without being overpowering. If you are looking for bold, add another shot of expresso
What a great, cute coffee shop! We stopped in during our vacay and it was definitely worth it. This is a chain local to St. Augustine area and they serve up some good coffee. I got the mocha nut iced latte and it is fantastic. The baristas were super friendly and they bring the drink to you. Vibes were good, calm environment, plenty of small tables. Also got a strawberry glazed muffin which was decent - moist and sweet! I would come here again. :)
We ventured here on our way into St. Augustine. I had been craving a coffee all day and what better way to enjoy one than at a cafe hailing from Down Under. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming and polite the baristas were to us. They were happy to answer questions and give suggestions. Even as more customers arrived, they treated them with the same respect and kindness. I prefer coffee shops that make their own syrups as they make the coffees taste better and show their dedication to the art of coffee-making. To my joy, this place not only makes their own syrups, but recently released their house-made Pumpkin Spice syrup. Even Fall in Florida deserves a slice of authentic pie and this did not disappoint. My latte was the perfect beverage for a cool day. It wasn’t too sweet and the sprinkle of vanilla spice on top added to its perfection. My fiance enjoyed a cafe au lait with the loveliest steamed foam and hint of sugary sweetness. The chocolate dessert we shared was a unique combination of an Australian chocolate bar, caramel and chocolate on top. I thought it would be way too rich but surprisingly it had the right blend of ingredients to give it a pie-like texture.
Amazing coffee spot. Pastries are amazing as well. Actually turned around to check it out and very glad we did.
Delicious coffee and treats! Super fun and engaging staff! And an even more exciting story behind the business! Definitely worth the stop! Brekkie pies delicious! Pumpkin donut amazing! Decaf mocha iced deep flavor and rich profile!
